For this high end penthouse villa, the design was based on surrealism; a major influence was Salvador Dali, with additional key aspects of inspiration being the fashion industry and natural forms. The penthouse is seen as a series of dreamlike spaces, full of surprise and wonder (not only for the client but for the people visiting as guests).
The house was designed to be a palace of imagination, finesse and opulence. The apartment splits into two areas, half for adults and half for children. In the children’s living room, a large surreal sculpture was designed alongside a roomy curved sofa. Both the children’s bathrooms and bedrooms appear in passionate red and mysterious blue.
More muted in its tones and finishes, the adults’ living space houses custom made high backed sofas with a feature chandelier as a halo for the main living space. The master bedroom was inspired by a flowing gold dress – a warm landscape to sleep in, with inviting large seating areas to one end.
